To determine the quality of a xDSL connection there is something more that should be taken into consideration more than the Speed (Download and upload)
A good test can be performed from this internet site: http://www.pingtest.net/
The quality of your connection is determined by 3 more parameters:
1. Packet loss: during a communication packets lost can cause blocks in VOIP o streaming flows. The optimal is to have zero packet loss.
2. Ping: measure how long it takes a packet to reach his destination.
3. Jitter: tells if pings are always the same. The ideal is to have Jitter zero (or low), means that all pings have the same time.
Pingtest rates the quality of your connection from A (Very Good) to F (Very poor)
